Send and Track USDT: Addresses, TXIDs and Confirmations
To send USDT, obtain the recipient's address and accepted network, prepare a compatible payment and save the transaction hash after broadcast. Track that hash on the correct blockchain, then distinguish on-chain success from a platform's internal account credit.
If you are receiving, supply the deposit details first and inspect the incoming transaction yourself. A sender's screenshot or a “withdrawal completed” label is not enough to confirm the correct asset reached your address.
Prepare the Receiving Details
For your own wallet, open the intended token and network and choose Receive. For a hosted exchange or payment order, open its current deposit instructions rather than copying details from an old transaction.
Check the address, token version, network and any additional deposit field the recipient supplies. Use the USDT network guide when the sending and receiving labels differ; use the fee guide to establish how much reaches the destination.
For an exchange order, the payment amount and deposit deadline belong to that particular order. A small test payment to a time-limited order can create an underpayment; use the exact order instructions rather than automatically splitting the deposit.
Send the Payment and Keep Its Evidence
The sending flow is similar across wallets, although the button labels and confirmation screens differ. Review the transaction details after pasting the address, because the clipboard and recent-address list can contain an unintended destination.
- Select the correct USDT balance and choose Send or Withdraw.
- Paste the receiving address and match the selected network to the recipient's instructions.
- Enter the amount and any required additional field.
- Review the amount received, total deducted and separate network expense.
- Confirm through the wallet or platform's normal approval process.
- Save the withdrawal record and, when available, its TXID or transaction hash.
The TXID identifies an on-chain transaction; a withdrawal request number identifies the platform's internal request. If a platform is still reviewing a withdrawal, the internal identifier may exist before any blockchain transaction has been created.
Read the Transaction in an Explorer
Use the sending wallet's “view on explorer” link or open the established explorer for the selected chain, such as Etherscan for Ethereum, TRONSCAN for TRON or Solscan for Solana. Paste the TXID, not the order's private tracking URL.
For a token payment, inspect the token transfer details as well as the transaction overview:
- Status: successful, pending or failed.
- Asset identifier: the intended token contract or equivalent network identifier.
- Recipient: the destination in the actual token transfer.
- Amount: the token quantity, taking its decimals into account.
- Block and confirmations: progress since inclusion, where the explorer reports them.
- Other transfer events: possible additional movements in a batched or contract-based transaction.
On Ethereum and similar networks, the top-level “To” field may be the token contract. The receiving wallet appears in the token transfer event; do not conclude that the recipient is wrong just because the transaction interacts with a contract.
Use the Status to Choose the Next Action
Check what stage has actually been reached before repeating the payment. The same “pending” word can refer to a platform withdrawal request, an unconfirmed transaction or an incoming credit waiting for the recipient's checks.
| What you can verify | What it means | Next action |
|---|---|---|
| Withdrawal request exists, no TXID | The platform may not have broadcast it | Check the sending platform's withdrawal status and support |
| TXID is pending on the correct chain | A transaction exists but is not yet settled | Follow the wallet's supported pending-transaction options; do not duplicate blindly |
| Transaction failed | That attempted operation did not complete as intended | Check its error and token-transfer events before retrying |
| Successful, insufficient required confirmations | Recipient is waiting for network progress | Compare against its deposit threshold |
| Successful, enough confirmations, no account credit | Destination reconciliation needs checking | Verify token/network/address, then contact the receiving provider |
There is no single transfer time that covers all blockchains and providers. A useful estimate must include the sender's withdrawal handling, network confirmation progress and the recipient's own crediting process.
Worked Case: Successful Transaction, No Exchange Credit
This fictional example shows how to narrow a delayed credit without inventing a real TXID. Assume a receiving platform requires 20 confirmations and a minimum deposit of 10 USDT on Ethereum.
A sender withdraws 250 USDT. The sending record shows a 2 USDT fee deducted from that amount, so the token transfer should deliver 248 USDT. The recipient sees no credit and starts with the withdrawal's explorer link.
- Identify the chain and transaction. The link opens Ethereum's explorer and shows Success. This rules out a withdrawal that has not been broadcast, but does not prove the hosted account has been credited.
- Open the token transfer. It shows 248 USDT to the deposit address copied from the recipient's Ethereum screen. The top-level contract interaction is not mistaken for the wallet recipient.
- Verify the asset. Compare the contract with Tether's Ethereum USD₮ entry. A similarly named token would fail this check even with a successful status.
- Compare the crediting requirements. The explorer shows 28 confirmations in this example: more than the platform's assumed threshold of 20. The 248-token deposit also exceeds its assumed 10-token minimum.
- Escalate the remaining issue. Send the receiving platform the TXID, network, recipient, amount and account reference. Ask it to trace the deposit in its crediting system; do not resend 250 USDT.
The evidence establishes a successful, compatible payment meeting the stated deposit thresholds. It does not reveal the platform's internal cause: maintenance, an account review or a reconciliation problem still needs the recipient's investigation. The practical conclusion is to contact the receiving provider, rather than pay more gas or repeat the transfer.
Confirmed but Not Received: Narrow the Problem
First compare the actual recipient, token and network with the receiving instructions. If they match and the required confirmations are complete, send the receiving provider the TXID and deposit details; a wallet-display issue may instead require selecting the correct account or adding the verified token entry.
If the chain is incompatible, move to the wrong-network recovery procedure. Waiting for more confirmations will not change the blockchain on which a successful payment occurred.
For an XRP to USDT conversion, the XRP deposit hash and token payout hash identify different stages on different networks. A confirmed source payment does not mean that the receiving token platform has already credited its customer account.
FAQ
What should I send to support?
Provide the order or withdrawal ID, selected network, TXID, token, amount, destination and the time of the request. Send private order links only through the service's verified support channel; never provide a recovery phrase or private key.
Can a screenshot prove that I received genuine USDT?
No. Check the actual token transfer on the correct explorer and compare its asset identifier with an official registry. A familiar logo or ticker can belong to an unrelated token.
Can a pending transaction disappear from the explorer?
An unconfirmed transaction may be dropped or replaced, depending on the network and sending method. Inspect the wallet's latest history and replacement transaction before assuming the original payment completed or starting again.
Does one successful transaction prove every transfer in a batch was credited?
No. Inspect the specific recipient's transfer event and the receiving provider's account record. A shared transaction hash can contain several movements that belong to different recipients.
